LUCICA™ GA-L Assay Kit for Glycated Albumin
Proper blood glucose control is essential in preventing complications associated with diabetes. Glycated albumin is one marker used to ascertain glycemic control. Glycated albumin reflects mean glycemia over the two weeks prior to blood sampling. The Lucica™ GA-L liquid reagent assay kit, launched in 2004, measures glycated albumin using conventional automated analyzers. In 2009, the Japan Red Cross added glycated albumin as a laboratory test item for donated blood.
LUCICA™ MI Assay Kit for myo-Inositol (MI)
myo-Inositol (MI) reflects plasma glucose levels after a meal or glucose load, and is excreted in urine. Testing of myo-inositol uses urine samples and is able to detect prediabetes, which cannot be determined by fasting plasma glucose (FPG) testing alone.
The Lucica™ MI Assay Kit employs an enzyme-based test method to accurately measure myo-inositol.
